Influences:

Michael Manring -  Hands down, the greatest bass player on the planet. He can play any style, write in any genre, and keep a smile while pulling off jaw dropping licks. I had the opportunity to see him live and it was an incredible experience. I was about ten feet from him, and I was almost in tears watching this guy play. My favorite move was when he knocked off the capo on his fretless to change to yet another altered tuning. This guy's mind is not of this world.

Jaco Pastorius - The father of the electric fretless. Now, I'm not sure he was the first, but he took the electric fretless to another level. What amazes me more than his technical prowess and impeccable tone is his creative genius. If I could only create lines as fluid as his. Adding to the drama of his music was the drama of his life, truly the saddest ending to a budding musician I have ever heard.

James Cammack - Bassist with Ahmad Jamal. He's one of the first reasons I really wanted to play fretless. I wish I knew more about him!

Geddy Lee - One of the all-time great bass players and composers of all time. Listen to Rush both old and new you would think Geddy and Neil were one person. He's not all the flash and pop of the heavy weights such as Manring or Wooten,  but his taste and skill cannot be denied.

Tony Levin - One word to describe his playing - INNOVATIVE. Check out Elephant Talk.
